Disbursements
It is very difficult to provide exact costs for Counsels fee pertaining to litigation matters but this can range from £500 upwards.

Disclaimers:

  • Any services not included in the price that might reasonably be expected to be included

If the matter becomes more complex, such as a counter claim becomes necessary or specific application notices need to be served/defended, the fee will increase accordingly. We will, however, inform you when there is a change to the fees and update you prior to the fee incurring.

  • Typical timescales and key stages of the matter

Litigation deadlines vary dependant on the complexity of the matter and also the Court timetable that has been agreed. Ordinarily we aim for matters to settle outside of the Court, in order to save you time and costs, however if the matter does proceed to Court- commencement to completion could take between 1 year – 2 years if the matter is straightforward, however for complex matters the matter could take up to 3 years.

  • List factors which could increase or decrease overall costs

Factors that could increase or decrease overall costs include the matter becoming complex as further disclosure documents are investigated, the matter having a counter claim or another party being brought into the proceedings.
